All Teleflex Marine steering cables exceed ABYC safety standards and ISO/IMCI/NMMA certification requirements. Teleflex marine steering cables are designed with a rotary or rack and pinion design to fit various helm space and application requirements. Both designs have a tightly controlled core to conduit fit to offer precise steering. The outer jacket is constructed with HDPE, a high density polyethylene material that is abrasion resistant and provides a high resistance to water pentration.  All cables feature output ends constructed of stainless steel material

How to Measure your boat for original Installaion
Measure:
Distance A: Center Line of Steering Wheel to Gunwale
Distance B: Dash to Transom
Distance C: Gunwale to Transom Center Line
 
For Installations Mounted to Transom:
A+B+C-6= Cable Length
Example: A=20, B=112, C=36; Total 168
168-6=162 or 136
Round up to a 14 Cable if Necessary
 
For Installations thru Engine Tilt Tube:
A+B+C+6= Cable Length
Using above example, A+B+C=168"
168"+6=174" or 14'6"
Round up to a 15 Cable if Necessary
